VIDEO GAME RAP BATTLE!

Commissioned DEATH BATTLE! introduction made by blue_nines

PLAYER 1:

Baldi, the friendly math teacher at Here School.

PLAYER 2:

Granny, the sadistic grandmother who kidnaps victims in the forest.

Five Nights At Freddy's was a saga that marked the horror industry in video games, for better or worse, from this resurfaced a genre currently known as Soft Horror, which although many do not take seriously, they can get to give real scares, and these two games born in 2018 and 2017 respectively are the best example.

Horror has two faces: a funny one that can be taken seriously when necessary, and a serious one that can take things with humor when necessary, a friendly professor who is rude when necessary hire a maniacal killer grandmother who is funny when the situation warrants it, who would win a death battle? Let's find out on DBE Blogs!

Somewhere down the road…

First of all, we want to regret that this Blog has taken so long to finish, but as you read, you will understand the reason, secondly, credits to Vs Battle Wiki for various calculations used here, and to Baldi's Basics Wiki for help with information on various versions of Baldi's, that Blog would have taken longer to come out if it wasn't for them. And third, because both Baldi's and Granny's have a lot of content in addition to the main games, we found it necessary to make an explanation of everything we're going to use:

Baldi

The case of Baldi is quite curious, since he is a character without a fixed canon and this was told to us several times: at the end of Baldi's Basics Remastered, a note from mystman12 tells us that Baldi still doesn't have a lore or story as such, so we don't have to worry about this, mystman12 has even said that Baldi's character has changed so much these years that he no longer knows what things should be canon or not, and the end of Baldi's Basics Kickstarter Exclusive Demo tells us that someday we will have a canonical ending, but it won't be for now, giving us free rein to use any official media.

This obviously includes all Baldi's games besides Baldi's Basics in Education and Learning, such as Baldi's Basics Plus, Baldi's Basics Classic, Baldi's Basics Birthday Bash, Baldi's Basics Classic Remastered, Baldi's Basics - Field Trip demo: Camping, Baldi's Basics Full Game Early Demo, Baldi's Basics Kickstarter Exclusive Demo and Baldi's Basics - Challenges Demo, but thanks to the weird Baldi canon, we also decided to include any media with mystman12's official approval or participation, like official animations and animations with mystman12's participation, and we will use crossovers like Strange Terror From The Deep where Baldi is an enemy with mystman12's participation, and Rivals of Aether where Baldi is an official fighter. Oh and yeah, the Friday Night Funkin mod will be used as well, since mystman12 helped on it (yes, among us bros won't be the only ones to do this), note that only the mod after the update where mystman12 joined will be used, and not the original mod where he had nothing to do with it.

For the crossovers, we decided to use abilities and arsenal of these, but not cross scaling, mainly because it is not necessary and we don't want this to be Granny vs Rivals of Aether of Friday Night Funkin, but you are free to use this scaling if you want.

The last content to worry about is Baldimore, a comic series made by mystman12, here Baldi was born before going into games, and the comics portray his life day by day. While it may seem like a different character, mystman12 said that Baldi's son in these comics may be canon, the Dr Reflex is a character originally born in these comics, and on his Twitter, mystman12 recreated the scene from the comic with Baldi and Dr Reflex plushies, saying that this didn't go well last time, meaning that Baldi and Dr Reflex lived through the events of that comic, so it can be used as there is no major contradiction to this being the Baldi we all know. Besides, these comics even appear in the games, so they will be taken into account.

As for the media we won't use, this obviously includes fanmade content unrelated to mystman12, such as animations, mods, fan games, etc, so no, unfortunately there will be no Pilar Chase scaling. Something official we decided not to use is Miitopia and Tomodachi Life, mystman12 created an official Baldi Mii which in fact, implies that it could be canon, so what's wrong with this? The problem is mostly that this isn't some kind of official collaboration, it's more of a Mii created by mystman12 with items from the shop to recreate Baldi, and while, it's still official mystman12, we don't want Baldi to rely on the entire arsenal and scaling of Miis, because it's a lot to cover and it's not something that matches the rest of Baldi's arsenal, it's not like Rivals of Aether where Baldi uses items that come from Baldi's Basics, it's an arsenal that at the end of the day probably isn't going to change the verdict much. Of course, you're free to use this if you wish, it is Baldi after all, but we're not going to use it in this specific blog.

Granny

As for Granny, there are several things to clarify about the media used. Obviously, we will use the main Granny saga, which has three games and is the main content, however, DVloper has varied with its sagas over the years, since Granny derives from the Slendrina saga, which has several games, which are Slender Man: Rise Again, Slendrina, Slendrina: The Cellar, House of Slendrina, Slendrina: Asylum, Slendrina 2D, The Child Of Slendrina, Slendrina: The School, Slendrina: The Cellar 2, Slendrina: The Forest, and Slendrina X, because Slendrina characters are recurrent in Granny's saga, it will be taken into account for the powers and scaling of the characters. We will use The Twins game, which has a dubious use, because although Granny and Grandpa appear in the game, they are optional characters and not canon, since DVloper confirmed that Granny never met Bob and Buck directly despite being family, and the guest mode is not canon even though this game is canon for Slendrina and Granny's timeline... however, hell, it's Granny, who cares about canon? On top of that, since the game takes place in Granny's universe, and Bob and Buck suffer from the family curse that gives them powers, Granny will most likely still scales to things in the game by sharing powers, and the Granny and Grandpa in this game show no difference from the originals other than having more weaponry. Finally, we will use other official DVloper media, such as social media statements to guide us through Granny’s lore and also take into account official animations.

An unnecessary clarification is that we will not use Granny Remake or Granny: Escape Together, not only because they are blatantly different characters from the original Granny, but also because they are not official DVloper games. While they take the map and other features from the original Granny game, they do not have the license to use the DVloper characters.

Baldi

“Welcome to Baldi's Basics in Education and Learning! That's me!”

In 2018, when independent horror games were having a great moment, with new titles coming out like hotcakes, an independent developer created a game in three days that was very different from what everyone was used to. But first, who is this developer?

Mystman12 decided to step off the beaten path and swim against the current to create a parody of the repetitive clichés found in all the popular horror games of the time, as well as a parody of old educational games from the early days of the internet. This game is known as Baldi's Basics In Education and Learning, originally launched on GameJams.

“Learn with Baldi in his fully 3D interactive schoolhouse! ...Just don't get any questions wrong.”

In this game, you take on the role of a primary school student who goes to school to retrieve the seven notebooks his friend forgot. To do so, you must solve multiple math problems and avoid various obstacles and characters that will stand in your way, including the only one capable of giving you a definitive Game Over: Baldi.

Baldi is a middle-aged teacher who originated from the Baldimore comics drawn by Mystman12 at the age of 12. He resides in Baldimore and owns Here School. He’s a calm and friendly guy—until you reach the third math problem, which is impossible to solve. This unleashes Baldi’s fury, and he will relentlessly pursue you, slapping his ruler against his hand as he tries to catch you for answering incorrectly.

As for more information about Baldi, we know he is a great teacher, married, and has a child. He is passionate about music and especially about inventing. He has created remarkable inventions such as shrinking machines, math problem-solving machines, and even a poster capable of creating portals on walls. He also loves food and has a particular weakness for apples.

In Baldi's Basics Remastered, we learn more about Baldi's behavior. Normally, he is not an aggressive person, but there is something that alters his demeanor: Null. Little is known about Null, but as far as we know, it is an entity made of corrupted data that appeared in the game and refused to leave even when Mystman12 tried to remove it. Null caused several glitches in the game, one of which made Baldi threaten the player—something he stops doing once Null is defeated. This implies that all of Baldi's bad behavior was nothing more than actions influenced by Null, threatening the player to abandon and destroy the game.

Baldi later founded the Super Schoolhouse, a much larger and more complete school with new friends and challenges for the player. But speaking in more meta terms, Baldi's Basics Plus (the game where all this takes place) is the definitive version of Baldi to date. It was funded through a Kickstarter campaign managed by Mystman12 to create this new and most recent version of Baldi. It’s a much calmer game with fewer horror elements—but who knows? After all, Mystman12 mentioned wanting to tell a story that hasn’t started yet. Things could change radically for Baldi and his friends in the future…

Granny

“I see you…”

Little is known about Granny's life before the events of the game. What we do know is that she was once a normal woman who, at some point, met Grandpa, a former soldier, with whom she married and had a daughter named Angelene (a name given by the fandom).

Angelene grew up as a normal woman and married a tall man, together having a beautiful daughter named Slendrina. However, not everything was happy in the family. Angelene was aware of a curse that had plagued her family for generations, inherited from Granny and Grandpa. Fearing it would ruin her daughter's life, she made a drastic decision: she poisoned the food at a family dinner, causing her husband to die on the sofa while Slendrina locked herself in her room to write in her diary that she felt unwell and decided to take a nap from which she never woke.

Unfortunately for Angelene, she did not know that this curse affected people after death. Her husband returned to his normal tall form but lost his face, developed tentacles, and fled to roam the forest, protecting his territory from intruders. Slendrina became a ghost, a vengeful spirit intent on killing anyone who dared disturb her family, while Angelene became a zombie. Rumors of a supernatural family of monsters haunting the forest grew, prompting many investigators to uncover the family's past.

It is unclear when or how they died, but Granny and Grandpa did not escape their descendants' fate, as both developed the curse, becoming living corpses, bloodthirsty and immortal beings that abduct unfortunate victims who entered the forest, giving them five days to escape and save their lives as if it were a macabre game.

Years after her death, Slendrina became engaged to Count Nosferatu, a vampire, and moved into his castle. However, Nosferatu did not get along with Angelene, often locking her in a cage until one day an investigator determined to learn about the family entered the castle. After trapping Slendrina in a book, she made the drastic decision to destroy the castle.

Later on, when everyone was well, Slendrina and Nosferatu had a son (known as The Child Of Slendrina), who suffered from his family's curse and became a horrible and deformed monster. The appearance of their son frightened Nosferatu, leading him to abandon Slendrina and their child. This news quickly reached Granny and Grandpa, who imprisoned Nosferatu in a box hidden in Grandpa's house while Granny locked Angelene in a secret room, taking care of Slendrina's child and abducting more victims entering the forest or investigating the family's past.

But this is not where the family's story ends; two distant relatives known as Bob and Buck were war criminals wanted throughout the country. Before being publicly executed, the curse acted to save their lives. Afterward, Bob and Buck hid in an abandoned prison where they concealed valuable items they stole with Granny and Grandpa. This led authorities to send an ex-thief to recover items in exchange for lifting his curse.

Without a doubt, Granny continues her pursuits; no matter where you hide, she sees you.

Experience, Intelligence & Skills

Baldi

Overall IQ

Baldi is a very intelligent teacher on most occasions, understanding and capable, even if he doesn't seem to be the smartest, since he was just a baby Baldi was already able to speak and think with the coherence of an average adult, and even be aware that babies don’t know how to do this.

He is also a great inventor, he created a machine capable of changing people's faces, and a Shrink Machine (although it failed), the description of the portal also tells us that it is “A super technology invented by Baldi himself”, which means that he is an inventor capable of even creating portals.

Camper

Baldi is a great survivor with experience in the forest, knowing which objects are the best to keep the fire burning for a longer time.

Farmer

Not much is known about this because upgrades to the farm are not yet available, but Baldi owns a farm of his own with several animals in a corn maze, being able to order them and send them all to the barn, this should also imply the knowledge to maintain a farm on his own.

Granny

Granny is a discreet and skilled assassin, she has successfully kidnapped and murdered multiple victims before and after the arrival of the player, and knows how to handle weapons such as shotguns, bear traps, revolver, dynamite and knows how to set up a guillotine, possibly thanks to Grandpa, who is a war veteran.

Granny has been active for a long time, as she is the grandmother of Slendrina, who died in 1892, although it is unknown on what date Granny died, the fact that there are traces of previous victims who did not manage to escape and that they seem to be so old, indicates that Granny has been killing for decades without ever arousing suspicion from the authorities.

Equipment

Baldi

Ruler

I’m going to shove this ruler up your fucking ass.

Baldi's main “weapon”, perfect for punishing students who do not study. Baldi constantly beats his ruler to impose his presence, although the ruler can be broken, Baldi will always get a new one.

BSODA

BSODA is a drink that can be found in the school's vending machines. When used, all characters touched by the gas will be pushed backwards.

The effect of BSODA will wear off after 30 seconds, or until the character hits a wall, as BSODA goes through walls.

Energy Flavored Zesty Bar

It is scattered in random places in the school, and by eating it, whoever has used it will get a stamina boost and will make the stamina bar last twice as long.

Swinging Door Lock

Want privacy? Look no further. This item is perfect. When used on a door, the door will be blocked for 30 seconds, preventing any character from crossing and they will have to find another method to reach the player.

Safety Scissors

Safety scissors are made to cut objects, without being sharp enough to hurt someone by accident.

They can be used in three ways: cut Playtime's rope, which will prevent her from playing with the player for 15 seconds. They can cut 1st Prize's wires, causing it to fail and spin without being able to push the player. And they can be used to cut the chewing gum and run away faster.

Alarm Clock

Good morning! When this alarm is used, the player can set a timer and it will start ringing, causing characters who use the sound to find the player to prioritize the alarm over other sounds.

Techno-Boots

Janitors must wear boots when sweeping! When someone puts on the boots, they will get several effects that will last for 60 seconds:

  • Gotta Sweep and 1st Prize will pass through the player, so they will not collide with both said characters.

  • The player can move at normal speed on conveyor belts regardless of the direction.

  • The player is not affected by Cloudy Copter's wind.

  • Whirlpools will not pull the player.

  • Grappling Hooks will not pull the player in the direction they are shot.

  • BSODA and Diet BSODA will not push the player.

  • The player will not slip on 'Nana Peels.

  • The player will not be dragged around by Mrs. Pomp for being late at her class.

  • The player will not be able to ride merry-go-rounds.

WD-NoSquee

When things get too noisy, this curious device is just what you need! It works in a range of 5 squares, and everything within those squares will not make noise until the effect ends. Works to evade enemies who hear everything, extremely convenient in this instance.

Dangerous Teleporter

It could take you to safety or certain doom! Now that's what I call fun! Using the Dangerous Teleporter causes the player to stop moving and repeatedly teleport to random locations in the Schoolhouse or Super Schoolhouse rapidly between 12 and 15 times. The teleporting gradually slows down and then stops, leaving the player in a random location.

Principal Whistle

No one should break the rules of the corridors, therefore, if someone uses this whistle, the director will massively increase his speed to get to wherever he has been used.

Portal Poster

An old invention of Baldi, it serves as a poster that when placed on a wall, opens a portal between the two walls so that it is possible to cross to the other side.

'Nana Peel

Yes, it's just what you imagine. When this banana is left on the floor, the unlucky person who steps on it will slip as if it were Mario Kart.

Presents

Presents are Birthday Bash items, which appear in place of conventional items. When the player grabs a gift, they will be given any random item from Baldi's Basics, always changing location so you can never know what you will get.

Dirty Chalk Eraser

“Use dirty chalk erasers, lockers, and your map to avoid being seen and collect 7 notebooks.”

Dirty Chalk Eraser is an item that can be found in abundance in the school, when a character uses it, it creates small clouds of dust that make him completely invisible, even if there is a character right in front of him. It can even fool Null and Glitch.

Grappling Hook

This hook, usable by both the player and Baldi in Rivals of Aether, can hit enemies, and if thrown far away, it will hook onto a wall and send the character in that direction.

Bear traps

Traps set by Baldi in the forest to catch wild animals, if someone steps on them, they will be trapped for 5 seconds, unable to move until the time elapses.

An Apple for Baldi

An Apple? For me? Thanks!

You Can Think Pad

The You Can Think Pad is portrayed as a tablet computer used to teach the player basic math, including but not limited to one-digit addition and subtraction.

When the player uses it, he can teleport to different sections of the school by entering certain answers, and it also serves as a detailed map of the school.

In Rivals of Aether, Baldi constantly uses it to increase his power and get angry.

There is a hidden feature as well, by inputting the secret code the wielder of this pad can access the Debug Mode! It wouldn't be unreasonable to assume this could be chalked to just game mechanics but in a game as self referential as this, it is actually mentioned by the cast in quite a few occasions, Null even calls you a cheater if you use these powers in his boss fight and may try to jump you instantly, these cheats include:

Invincibility: Does what it says on the tin, the player becomes immune to any sources of damage in the game! Although they can still be affected by a few abilities from the cast, just not hurt.

NoClip: The perfect tool for any lore junkies in the audience, it makes the player invisible to most enemies and makes them intangible, flying and phasing through walls to make sure you can find any nook and cranny in those low poly models, weirdly enough this interaction doesn't seem to go both ways as the player can still pick up items and use them.

Super Speed: Pretty simple overall, puts a flat 7x multiplier on the player's speed, although pressing the button to run in this state makes them… slower for some reason?

Unlimited Items: Gives the player as many of any item in the game as they want, you might be able to solve poverty with all those free coins!

Nothing LOL

Yes, this is literally nothing. The empty space in the inventory is an item, or at least that's how the game considers it for some reason.

Camp Equipment

Baldi’s Bus

Baldi's vehicle used for school trips, this bus was originally Joe's, which Baldi took for a last minute trip and put his name on it so people wouldn't think he stole it.

Fog Machine

An unseen invention Baldi created that is capable of covering the entire map in fog, indoors and outdoors, no matter the size.

Baldi TV

When Baldi needs to make announcements in the school, this screen appears from above and alerts all the characters about things like parties in the principal's office, or serves to alert the player that he has all the notebooks and must flee.

Shrink Machine

Baldi's latest invention, a shrinking machine that will definitely be his greatest invention to date! If only it would work…

Headphones

They're cool

Realistic Invention

In one of Baldimore comics, Baldi invented a machine that makes people look more realistic, which gave him a realistic and strange face. It’s useless in combat, but it might scare Granny away because of how ugly it looks.

Freeze Machine

This machine has a button that, when pressed, will freeze whoever is nearby, only being able to free people when the ice is destroyed.

Hair Brush

Yummers.

Jackhammer with a rusty knife glued on

After a child asked him to invent toe nail clippers, Baldi created this device that he used to cut off his toes... WHAT?

Thermometer

While it looks like a normal thermometer, this one is meant to measure fun! It will probably explode thanks to this blog

Sunglasses

Bro has aura.

Goodie Jar

By pressing a button, Baldi can summon a drone which will give him a goodie jar, this jar has a huge size, enough to echo and the people inside are lost in the dark, it appears to have some sort of maze like world inside, besides containing other Baldis inside, Baldi can use it to lock up other people.

Microphone

Like every FNF character, Baldi clearly has to have a microphone to sing as well as he usually does

Gotta Sweep

The Schoolhouse broom, Baldi is able to use Gotta Sweep to damage and push enemies in combat, see “Support” for more information.

Granny

Baseball Bat

Granny’s weapon of choice for beating victims over the head. There’s nothing too special about it. But it can knock the player out in a single swing

Bear Traps

Usual, everyday bear traps that Granny places down to catch the player in spots they frequent.

Car

Granny's main vehicle, a rusty old Moskvitch 402, is capable of killing victims and breaching walls quickly. A Moskvitch 402 can travel at 56 miles per hour.

Pepper Spray

This is the only non-lethal weapon in the game, being useful for spraying enemies in the face, which will blind them for 30 seconds, leaving them vulnerable.

Teddy

This teddy bear is more than just a simple toy to Granny. When picked up by the player, Granny goes into a rage state and gains instant knowledge of wherever the player may be. Putting it in the crib summons Slendrina as well

Shotgun

Constructed in the garage, it’s a single barrel shotgun that can knock Granny out for 20 seconds.

Freeze Trap

A trap found in Granny’s original house. When put down on the floor, it becomes primed. When someone steps on it, it freezes them solid through unknown means.

Slingshot

This weapon is quite simple, requiring you to grab rocks from the yard and throw them with enough force to knock down objects, destroy robots or knock out those who are hit.

Book

This book has an extensive history in the family, as it not only allows access to the room where Granny locked Angelene, it also has the power to seal people inside, as the player used it in Slendrina X to seal Slendrina. It possibly also overrides abilities, as Slendrina is able to teleport and exit a pocket dimension, but cannot flee from the book.

Crossbow

Used by the player in the first game. The crossbow can fire tranquilizer darts that put those hit by it to sleep.

Guillotine

A guillotine assembled by Granny, able to revoke the head of the victims who suffer the terrible fate of not being able to escape from Granny.

Hammer

Yes, it's a normal hammer, I don't know what you were expecting. It can be used to remove wooden planks or destroy security cameras.

Stun Gun

In the second game. Granny owns a taser that the player can use to knock out both her and grandpa

Flashlight

The torch that Granny gives the player in PC Port has a great capacity to light up dark places.

Chain Cutter

As the name suggests, these pliers are capable of cutting chains, but they can also be used on things like cables and wires

Plasma Gun

Wielded by Granny in one of the endings of The Twins. It’s a gun powered by compressed gas that can vaporize those shot with it.

Gasoline Can

Standard can of gasoline for filling up helicopters and cars. Causes an explosion if shot at

Dynamite

Granny uses a stick of dynamite to blow up a car in the “thug life” ending. It’s one of the greatest moments in indie horror.

Train

Granny's train is a single carriage, which can be used both to escape and to cruelly kill victims.

Grenades

Granny owns a box containing three hand grenades. They go boom

Dynamite

Unlike the other dynamite, this one has a 5-second timer that starts from the moment it is thrown, and is powerful enough to shake the prison.

Rat Poison

Bottle of rat poison used to knock out Bob by putting it in his coffee

Revolver

It is a type of pistol that is characterized by having the ammunition housed in several chambers arranged in a drum or cylinder, unlike normal firearms. A Revolver shoots between 700 and 1,550 feet per second.

Santa Claus hat

so jolly.

Plushie

so cute.

Abilities

Baldi

Enhanced Senses

One of the most notable things about Baldi is his senses. He can hear you from across the school, even the slightest opening of a door can instantly tell Baldi where you are, he can even somehow hear concepts such as “bad math”, the latter has no real combat applicability but it's funny.

Berserk Mode

He Angry.

The more problems you solve badly, the angrier Baldi gets, the faster he gets, and in Rivals of Aether, he can get angry and increase his stats.

4th Wall Awareness

Baldi is a character too aware of the 4th Wall, not only knows that it exists in a game, but also speaks directly to the player promoting new versions of the game, mentioning that the ending is not a canonical ending, and knowing that Baldi's Basics Remastered is a demo of the next game.

In the new version of Baldi's Basics Plus, Baldi is even in charge of giving the tutorial to the player, explaining the controls and several mechanics of his game.

In the comics, it has been shown that Baldi can eat his own written dialogue.

Spatial Manipulation / Reality Warping

When the player collects the 7 books, Baldi will alter the school, turning it red and causing the exit doors to become walls, he can also return everything to normal whenever he wishes.

Clonation

Baldi is apparently able to multiply himself to be in several places at the same time, as he can be waiting for the player on the bus while at the same time he is at the entrance, when the Glitch occurs, Baldi is in another location at the same time, and is in the principal's office at the same time. But the most important thing is that, in the latest update of Baldi's Basics Plus, we can see on screen and directly several Baldis in the same place (even in the tutorial), which confirms that Baldi can create copies of himself.

This seems to be able to multiply other characters, as Baldi will make several Principals appear in Speed Style, and apparently there are several Play Time in the school (although this may be due to glitch effects)

BFR and Summoning

Baldi has demonstrated this several times, such as after Party mode, where he makes all the characters magically appear at the exit door to congratulate the player, can send the player to a room with no exits if they give certain answers, and is able to send the player to the school elevator, and yes, the screen is a real place.

Baldi has other methods of summoning his allies, such as the whistle that will literally almost instantly summon Principal of the Thing, and in Rivals of Aether, Baldi can summon both Gotta Sweep and the Glitch for combat.

Teletransportation

While it has been questioned whether Baldi can actually teleport, since he cannot cross closed doors, the latest update of Baldi's Basics Plus shows us how Baldi is able to appear out of nowhere right in front of the player.

Wormholes

Wormholes are found in various places in the Super Schoolhouse, possibly created by Baldi because of their resemblance to his postcards, entering them will send you into a starry space and then to a random place.

Fire Manipulation

After seeing that everyone had hair but him, Baldi thought the hair was unnatural and unnecessary, and ended up burning the hair of everyone he saw. This is an ability rather than weaponry, as Baldi made his own head catch fire just by squeezing his hand. Envious son of a bitch

Size Manipulation

Uh oh Granny bros

Baldi demonstrated being able to change the size of his head on two occasions, one was in a Kickstarter animation, where Baldi sent his head into space and made it so big that it became bigger than several countries, and the other in Baldimore, where it grew big enough to eat the freaking planet, seriously, what the hell is wrong with this guy….

Glitches

Baldi not only has game awareness, but also seems to be able to affect the game to some degree. One hit from Baldi is capable of shutting down your game, causing massive glitches that will affect the entire game, and even without attacking the player, Baldi can cause different glitches capable of crashing the game completely.

More information before the verdict.

Regeneration

In an animation that had the participation of Mystman12, Baldi tried a hair product of dubious provenance, which made his head explode. Baldi clearly did not die and he is still alive after this (as he appears in things after this video), so somehow he was able to regenerate his head, however, the time needed for this is unknown.

For a more standart showing of the ability however, all characters in the game can very quickly come back from being flattened by a mallet!

Events

Flood

The school is not well maintained, and there is the possibility of a pipe bursting, flooding the entire school, which hinders movement and causes eddies to form that can suck in anyone who approaches and send them to random parts of the school.

Gravity Chaos

Baldi is able to flip gravity in an unknown method, turning the whole school upside down and changing directions. In this event, various geometric shapes appear in the corridors, and if someone touches them, it will turn the school around again... or make everything worse, who knows? Luck will decide!

Test procedure

This event is relatively short, and for a period of a few seconds, all emergency doors will close, preventing anyone from crossing them.

Party

There's a party at the director's office, and everyone is invited!

When this event starts, all the characters will head to the director's office to have a party, where there will be gifts for everyone, including an item for you!

Fog

When Baldi's machine fails, the entire school is filled with Fog, reducing the vision of both the player and the other characters, even Baldi himself is not able to see things that are far away, so this can be both an advantage and a disadvantage.

Resistances

Granny

The Curse

Granny's family curse is quite a popular topic if you've been in the DVloper community, as there are several reasons to claim that the family suffers from a curse of unknown origin that keeps them alive and makes them immortal, giving them all supernatural powers.

This curse occurs in the victim after they die, as we see after Angelene kills Slenderman and Slendrina and they turn into monsters after they die (which Slendrina confirms in her diary), and she ends up being a vengeful spirit. While not much is known about the curse, it is possibly the cause of Bob and Buck not being killed in the war for their multiple crimes, and because the supernatural abilities of the family members come from this curse, Granny gets the powers of other family members (except Slenderman and Slendrina, because they have a unique kit and that only they two share), which we will mention below.

Resurrection and Regeneration

Likely as a byproduct of the curse, Granny has shown immense regeneration. Whether that be getting shot by a double barrel, being shattered into pieces, from having her head cut off and even from being completely disintegrated with a plasma gun that vaporizes her body. Nosferatu also can regenerate when there is nothing left of his body.

When members of the curse die for good, several become ghosts that attack their victims even while dead, such as Slendrina, or even members as weak as rats oe spiders can continue to exist as ghosts once dead.

Enhanced Senses

Granny is able to hear everything. It's something that is constantly said in the saga, and it's true in part. Granny can hear even things like a stuffed animal falling from a meter on the other side of the huge house, she hears creaks on the floor and falls from low heights, however, she can't hear doors opening, or maybe it's just a game mechanic, who knows!

Fly

Being a Zombie very similar to Angelene and sharing several powers such as Immortality, Granny should share her ability to fly, as we saw Angelene fly on two different occasions, once in her normal body, and the other time she turns her giant head and makes it float.

Teletransportation

Several members of the family have demonstrated this ability, especially Angelene, who can disappear from a room before the player sees her. When Granny is locked up or knocked unconscious, she will teleport back to the basement to continue fighting.

4th Wall Awareness

Granny can still jumpscare the player from the ending screen. Cheating bitch.

Berserk Mode

When the player does something like killing a pet, or killing The Child, Granny and Grandpa go into a rage mode, their eyes turn red and they both know the player's location at all times until they are knocked out, this also happens when the player takes Slendrina's bear. This state also seems to cause fear in the player, as it causes their heart to beat in a desperate manner, and while this could be a sound from the bear or a mere effect, the beating lasts for seconds after leaving the bear, and if both Grandpa and Grandpa are out of combat, the bear will not make a sound.

Forms

Baldi

Baldiman

Baldi’s superhero persona, while he’s only made a couple appearances, he boasts to be capable of inventing anything, and in a WarioWare DIY microgame by MystMan, he can shoot what seem to be bullets.

DONKEY KONG

Yeah this is official

Baby Baldi

Baby Baldi came about as a joke about a new series by Mystman12 for April Fool's Day. Baby Baldi is said to speak with the coherence and intelligence of an adult, and is aware that babies shouldn't be able to do this.

Yeah... I... I... I don't even know what to say about this...

In an official Basically, Games! video announcing new Baldi merchandise, we see Baldi's head flying to chase the player and possibly eat him, which is not surprising, as we've seen Baldi's head enlarged and flying many times before.

However, at the end of the video, when Baldi catches the player, we see that mystman12 has this Baldi behind him, and he turns out to be the one who was playing, so he ends up punching him in the face. It's clear that this is still Baldi, he refers to himself that way, and he has Baldi's voice at the end of the video.

The implications of this are incredibly weird, on the one hand, this could tell us that clearly Baldi exists in the real world and he himself usually plays his own game, and on the other, you could say it's just a joke advertisement... but it's Baldi's Basics, a joke franchise, so there shouldn't be a problem with this. However, because this is incredibly rare and the video came out a few days after this blog was released and could change everything already established, it won't be taken into account for the final verdict, although we recognise it as valid and usable.

Granny

Rage Mode

As shown in Abilities, killing her allies or taking Teddy will make Granny go into an anger mode, in this mode, Granny causes fear to the player which makes their heart beat very fast and loud, also, regardless of the noise, Granny will know the player's location all the time no matter how quiet it is.

Nightmare Granny

In nightmare mode, everything changes drastically, not only the house is darker, full of blood and infested with ghost rats, but also Granny, who takes on a much more rotten and emaciated appearance, although in addition to more arsenal and aesthetic differences, she doesn't change much to her normal form, but hey, it would be a great climax.

Support

Because both sagas have lots of secondary characters that help Baldi and Granny to accomplish their mission to take down the player, we decided to give them both the support of these characters to make things more interesting. Of course, as long as it's reasonable and these characters help realistically, so there won't be things like Null for Baldi or Nosferatu for Granny.

Baldi

Principal of the Thing

As a man of honour and discipline, the Principal of the Thing will teleport you to detention if he catches you breaking any school rules. The rules are:

  1. No running - Running in any location.

  2. No entering faculty only rooms - When inside or leaving any of the faculty rooms.

  3. No bullying - A punishment only for It's a Bully. When Principal of the Thing hears It's a Bully asking for an item from the player, he will send It's a Bully to detention.

  4. No drinking - Using the BSODA or Diet BSODA items.

  5. No escaping detention - Escaping the Principal's office while the player is in detention. However, if they leave the Principal's office and enter the playground, he will not scold them for escaping detention.

  6. No fourth wall breaks - Breaking the fourth wall is likely about the game's whole program. However, the player cannot break this rule, the only exception being in Baldi's Basics - Field Trip demo: Camping by "breaking" the fourth "The demo ends here." wall. Despite the player breaking one of the rules in this case, Principal of the Thing will stay idle and will not send them to detention for doing it.

This is a Bully

As a Bully, this large orange fellow will take an item from you, not letting you pass unless you have one.

1st Prize

This freaky machine charges in a straight line, pushing anything that gets in its way.

Playtime

A young girl with poor eyesight. If she meets someone, she’ll force them to play jump rope with her, after five successful jumps in a row. She’ll let them go, and find someone else to play with.

Gotta Sweep

What seems like a normal broom is a sentient broom that goes across the map, sweeping up anything in its way.

Besides that- HUH??? WHAT???

YES, FOR SOME REASON, IN A FIELD TRIP OF BALDI’S BASICS PLUS, THERE IS A FUCKING GOTTA SWEEP KAIJU- WHY???

Arts and Crafters

A normally docile, sentient sock. Runs away when people are close. But if they have all seven fabled notebooks. It’ll rush them down and teleport them to the exit of the school, right with Baldi.

Cloudy Copter

This sentient cloud roams school halls, blowing winds strong enough to push around everyone in its path.

Beans

A student that’s supposedly proficient in poetry. But most known for blowing bubbles with his gum. Firing gumballs that slow those hit by them

Chalkles

Some kid drew this face and next thing you know it's floating around, laughing and making mischief!

Chalkles can appear in different classrooms randomly, giving the player a short time to leave. If the player is still in the room when Chalkles becomes solid, Chalkles will make a noise that will attract Baldi and Dr. Reflex to the location, blocking the door so the player cannot flee.

The Test

This strange creature with a low probability of appearing is probably one of the most annoying characters in the game, not only because the player must look at it for a long time, as The Test will chase it when it is not seen, but also because if the player stops looking at it, The Test will cause a blinding effect that will only affect the player, it can also manipulate the lights in the corridors, teleport and freeze time, although this will affect all nearby characters.

However, in the latest Baldi's Basics Plus update, it was added that The Test will now explode if the player looks at it for too long, speeding up the entire game by a few seconds. This also implies regeneration, as The Test will return later.

Mrs. Pomp

Mrs. Pomp is the second teacher of the super school, an incredibly strict lady who strolls the halls, and upon seeing the player, she will stop time for a few seconds to tell him to go to her class, and if the player does not go to the classroom in two minutes, Mrs. Pomp will increase her speed abysmally to take him to the classroom, possibly taking him to Baldi in a roundabout way.

Dr. Reflex

The school’s doctor! Dr. Reflex goes around to find someone to test. When he finds someone, he’ll hold up two balls to test their reflexes. Pick the wrong ball and he’ll get the giant mallet from his office, and begin smacking people around. Flattening them and nullifying some abilities.

Students

As in every school, there are many students in the Super Schoolhouse, who are on different floors of the school, looking for the objects they lost. If the player finds their lost items, the students will compensate them with You Thought Points.

Johnny

Johnny is the official seller at Johnny's Store in the super school, he acts as a kind person who sells items to whoever needs them in exchange for in-game currency, and even if the buyer does not have enough money, Johnny can still give him the item once per game.

Another Baldis

Baldi is able to summon a jar from the sky, which contains several Baldi heads inside, which can come out. While we don't know what they are capable of doing, they should share the same abilities as Baldi, as he describes them as “Another Me”.

Red Baldloon

The Glitch, or Red Baldloon, is by far the most important support Baldi has at his disposal. While it is questionable that Baldi has access to these, we will give a more detailed explanation before the verdict, and in Rivals of Aether, Baldi is able to summon the Glitch to attack enemies.

The Glitch has incredibly detrimental abilities to the game itself, as it can cause glitches such as multiplying characters, making everyone float, and erasing entire parts of the school to reducing the game to a background, multiplying itself, affecting the school's Pads, light, and even the game's music.

After the player defeats Null, the Glitch Style will appear, where a Red Baldloon replaces Null and shares his same abilities, so the Red Baldloon would have access to the things that Null can do, such as shut down the game (which the Glitch also does), warp the scenery, move objects like vending machines to block corridors, override the player's actions, preventing them from doing anything if he notices cheating, and can teleport to the “real world.”

Granny

Grandpa

“Why to me I never see, oh Diana can't you see, who they are?”

Granny's husband who assists her in three games, Grandpa is a war veteran with extensive knowledge of military weaponry, ranged weapons and explosives, although he cannot hear well beyond very loud sounds, he has a quite remarkable Arsenal:

Crowbar

The weapon used by Grandpa in his first appearance is useful for knocking out the player with a single blow.

Shotgun

Grandpa’s weapon of choice is a double barrel shotgun. Used for blasting any trespassers

Helicopter

Fitting as a war veteran, Grandpa has a helicopter, complete with a gatling gun.

Spiders

Granny has had several spiders, they are always giant and poisonous enough to knock out or kill the player with a single bite.

Alligator

Found in the moat of Granny 3, this gator chomps down on any unsuspecting prey

Spider-Mom / Angelene

Angelene is Granny's daughter and Slendrina's mother, after dying with her family, she came back from the dead as a Zombie hungry for victims, with powers like flying, teleporting, or even making her head become giant to chase the player and clone herself several times.

In two games it is seen that she can turn into a spider monster, known as Spider-Mom, who inhabits the cellar of Granny's house and helps her to kill the player. In this form, Angelene seems to become stronger, is able to walk on the ceiling and eats alive the victims she catches, as well as being immune to all the player's weapons.

Spectral Rats

“What the fuck” —Spectral

In Granny’s Nightmare Mode, the player is confronted by ghost rats that prowl the house, and if the player steps on them and they cross their path, they will bite them, causing them to bleed and alerting Granny and Grandpa to the player’s location. Being ghosts, they can walk through doors and walls.

Spectral Spiders

“WHAT THE FUCK” —Also Spectral

Basically the same as the rats… but more cool!

Water Monster

Lurking in the sewers of Granny 2 is this thing. Capable of using its tentacles to grab foes and drag them into the water. Although it cannot come out of the water and thus would not normally be usable, Baldi can flood the entire school while chasing the player, so lol

Bob and Buck

Bob and Buck are the twins, expert thieves who stole the most valuable objects on the planet, living in an abandoned prison where they can work alongside Granny and Grandpa.

Bob uses an incredibly strong Bloody Wooden Mallet to knock out the player with a single blow, while Buck uses a Strikelight Taser to electrocute the player.

Slenderman

“COLLECT MY PAGES BALDI”

Slenderman (whose name in life is unknown) is Slendrina's father, he is a tall, thin man, who helps his family when they need him and protects the family forest from intruders or busybodies investigating his family. His powers are similar to Slendrina's and he seems to share all his powers with her, so there is information on his Arsenal below, but as for things more his own, he is capable of causing illusions to those who look at him, the mere sight of him can make the victim bleed and prolonged exposure ends up killing the beholder.

And of course, as in any Slenderman game, he will become more aggressive the more pages you have.

Slendrina (Metal Sonic)

Slendrina is Granny's granddaughter, daughter of Angelene and Slenderman, she is a vengeful spirit who helps her family, we see her helping Granny in Granny Chapter 3 and The Twins, as well as helping her son if someone is a danger.

Slendrina has a lot of useful powers:

Intangibility: she's clearly intangible, she's a ghost lol, Slendrina can walk through the player, walk through walls and paintings

Illusions: Slendrina can make the player see her face from one moment to the next, even just seeing her can cause illusions

Technological Manipulation: Like her father, Slendrina can cause electronic devices such as flashlights to malfunction

Mindfuck: The mere sight of Slendrina causes your mind to fail and you die, even the sight of her can cause hallucinations that eventually kill you

Size Manipulation: Capable of massive growth

Clones: Slendrina can create small clones of herself, which attack the player

Necromancy: Slendrina can revive skeletons to rise up and attack the player for her, although they are not very durable…

Telekinesis: She is able to move the player's gaze to see her, even without physically touching them

BFR and Sealing: She can send the player to a white room with no exits

The Child of Slendrina

Child Of Slendrina is the son of Slendrina and Nosferatu, who is later taken care of by Granny and Grandpa to guard the courtyard, attacking players he sees and eating them alive. The Child usually attacks biting players until he eats them alive, and although he lacks Immortality unlike the rest of his family, he can become a giant and shake a house.

Crow

An everyday crow that guards an item in its cage. You can only pass if you fill its bowl with bird seed.

Beetle

A large beetle roaming around a small room at The Twin’s place

Organic Traps

Similar to bear traps, but in nightmare mode, these are living, deadly plants that will not let the player go, and will alert Granny to the player's current location.

Robot

This robot is located on the lowest floor of the house, it has the function of selling train tickets, if the player enters without a ticket, the robot will activate an alarm that will alarm the grandparents and warn the player's location.

Scaling

Baldi

Students and School members

It is not surprising that Baldi is the strongest member of the school, after all, he is the teacher. He can one-shot the player every time he catches them, being that the player constantly resists hits from characters like 1st Prize or Gotta Sweep, who can push all members of the school at the same time. In addition, Baldi and Player survive blows from Dr Reflex, who can crush all the characters in the school.

Null (Debatable)

Haha, you idiot! Did- did you really think… I-I was going to explain scaling to you in this section without making you go Before the Verdict? *Glitching* No no no no, go Before the Verdict for a more- *Glitching* more detailed explanation.

Granny

The Player

The player, is the protagonist of the entire saga of Granny and Slendrina, although they are usually different people (as the player of “The House of Slendrina” is killed at the end of the game), the player is the same person on several occasions as in the scene of Granny Chapter 2 (PC), we see a cinematic where Granny takes the player of Chapter 1 to the house where Chapter 2 occurs. Anyway, the player is always a human with no powers or high stats unlike Granny’s family, and can always be killed, so the whole family is clearly superior to the player.

The Slendrina Family

Part of Granny's family tree, Angelene is Granny's daughter and Slendrina Granny's granddaughter, all suffer from the family curse that gives them supernatural powers, but besides that, they are all shown to be comparable, as the player resists attacks from Angelene and can kill her, resists attacks from Slendrina in Granny Chapter 3, and can kill Nosferatu with a sword, plus the fact that Granny has Angelene locked up and incapacitated, and that the player can kill The Child Of Slendrina, Granny should scale to everything the family can do.

Weakness

Baldi

Baldi's senses are not perfect, especially his hearing, which will be affected by constant and annoying sounds, such as his least favorite tape, or Noise Phone, distracting him and preventing him from hearing the opponent. If Baldi's rule is broken, this will leave him harmless and unable to kill the player for a random and variable amount of seconds.

Granny

As good as Granny's Immortality is, it has its limitations. Not only will it take longer and longer depending on the difficulty, but not all characters in the family have it, their pets or even The Child of Slendrina will die for good from things that couldn't kill Granny, Grandpa or the twins.

Granny is also vulnerable to quite a few things (even if she can come back from these), such as tranquilizer darts, pepper spray or the heat of a sauna, things that can leave her incapacitated.

Before The Verdict

Is it really Null who causes the glitches in the game?

A much discussed topic in Baldi’s Basics powerscaling is the glitches. Glitches occur throughout the saga, and the discussion is about their possible origin; some believe they are caused by Baldi, but the most accepted answer is that it is Null (filename2), but who is Null?

Null is an entity trapped in the game, that constantly insists to the player to destroy the game and seems to cause failures, some examples are Baldi's's scream when the player has the 7 notebooks, because after Null is deleted, there will no longer be a strong scream, and if you complete the game with Null dead, there will be no more glitches in Baldi's office, there will only be Baldi congratulating the player, which implies that all the glitches occur only because of Null.

Although the implications on the lore (or well, there is no lore, lmao, it's Baldi) are strange, there are small problems with this. The main one, is that if you complete Party Style again after Null is deleted, the Glitch will occur again and the school will start being deleted as before, with the difference being that Baldi will now be in his office, undeterred and unsurprised by the errors that occur in the game.

The second case, is in Baldi's Basics Plus, where after reaching Baldi's office at the end of the game, it will cause another massive glitch that will restart the game, and it is literally impossible for Null to cause this, because Null no longer exists in Baldi's world (see the sections below for more information). In the 2020 trailer for Baldi's Basics Plus, Baldi simply manages to close the game and make it crash after hitting the player, and a screen says that Baldi.exe encountered an error, something that supports that it was Baldi who did this (because Null literally does not exist in this game, more Information later)

The third, is that after defeating Null, there is a chance that this strange Game Over screen will appear, saying that the game has failed and your computer will explode, showing more glitches in the game (although it could also be interpreted as Null affecting the game even when he does not exist, but Baldi's indifference to glitches could mean that this is not the case). A more direct argument that this is an effect of Baldi are the tapes of the first versions of Baldi's Basics, which reproduced the voice of someone who gave advice to the player, and in one of these, he says that if Baldi touches you, it will be the end of everything. The message is not very direct and we are not completely sure what it refers to, but most likely it is talking about the destruction of the game that occurs when Baldi catches the player. It is clear that it does not refer to the end of the player, because Baldi does not kill the player, so it is most likely talking about the end of the game.

So what does all this imply?

Easy, Null is not the one who causes the glitches all the time, he is just a part of them. There are occasions where Baldi does seem to be aware of the glitches or even cause them, like the end of Baldi's Basics Early Demo, where Baldi announces the end of the game and proceeds to cause a small glitch, and there are even buttons incerted in the school made to restart the game with the sound effect of the glitches, but most importantly, Baldi is able to summon the Glitch in Rivals of Aether, the Glitch has exactly the same effects and influence as Null, it even takes the place of Null in Glitch Style, so, with all this, we will consider the glitches as part of Baldi's arsenal.

THAT fucking feat that i hate.

If you are familiar with Baldi in the debating world, you must be familiar with his infamous Kickstarter video feat, where out of excitement, Baldi send his head into space and grew to become comparable to the earth in size. This was calculated to 3.087 Teratons and Mach 68.84 to 9.62% c, but, is it valid?

Well, a popular argument against this feat is that you can't use KE, since Baldi didn't use his head to crash into something, however, while it is true that Baldi didn't crash into something to say you can use KE, he still survived his head flying at that incredibly high speed, his potential energy is still incredibly high since he can move his own head and weight at that speed because of his energy, and anyway, we can't just ignore this feat, since if a character (for example) becomes bigger than a planet, we won't say he's still Wall Level because he didn't crash into something at this size. We leave the Vs Battle Wiki page where the AP for the large size of a character is explained in more detail, credits to them.

As for the speed, this is also completely valid, since Baldi sent his head into space before becoming big, so this applies to his displacement, and also to his reaction speed since he circled the earth several times without crashing into it while flying.

Another argument against this is to say that this is just a joke feat that we can't really use as it is just a gag. Need we say anything? Baldi is a joke character in a gag game, a parody that makes fun of other horror games using completely random elements and gags all the time, we can't take a gag feat away from a gag character for no reason, lol

Now, the only obstacle for this feat is consistency, because although we can argue a higher level for Baldi (and we will do it later), it is possible that you do not buy what we are going to mention, so Baldi would only reach Tons of TNT, so there is a huge jump.

But…

The way to solve this is in Baldimore (thanks mystman12!), where Baldi made so big his head to eat the planet (608 Exatons for GBE, 47 Ninatons for KE and 35% c), which makes it consistent that Baldi reaches such a high level, so we have no problem using this feat.

Null Scaling and Feats

Now that we know who Null is, we need to know something more important: its purpose. Let's be direct, Null has one goal, that the player destroys the game. He is very insistent on this, so much so that he will try it on his own when he sees that the player doesn't do it, this brings several effects, like many glitches, parts of the school being deleted, moving the whole school, or even closing the whole game.

While, it is rare to apply the glitch to physical stats, what gives it meaning is a rare Game Over screen, where we are told that the computer is going to explode, and yes, this is quite literal:

This Game Over screen shows a glitch that ends up closing the game, and being portrayed as an explosion (in a quite literal sense), it is possible to argue that Null (and also Baldi with a low probability) can physically destroy the game and survive this.

But, how does Baldi scale?

It is quite simple, since the player can access Null Style, a game mode where there will be a final boss against Null, where you have to damage him by throwing objects with force, and later, he is replaced by the Glitch (same that can close and delete from the game) that can be defeated in the same way. Baldi is also able to summon the Glitch to fight, and can damage enemies that resist his attacks.

While Null is portrayed as a more powerful entity than the rest of the characters, nothing indicates that he is physically stronger, as the player does not receive any amplification, and can still be damaged by Baldi, and in case you do not believe that Baldi escalates to this, he still has access to the Glitch, which shares practically everything with Null.

The second important feat of Null comes from if Jumpscare when it catches the player, where Null destroys and corrupts the entire game in a few seconds, which is the size of the universe (see below), which requires a speed of 163 Quadrillion c (1.1 Quintillion c in debug mode). There are several things to explain here, first of all, yes, we take into account that this could be haxs or range, but the reason why the characters can scale to this in speed is thanks to the Glitch Style, where it is the glitch itself that chases The Player, that is, the player is escaping from the glitch, same that can cover the whole game in a few seconds to corrupt it, and since it is the glitch that corrupts the whole game, the glitch's body should be able to move at the same speed. This also applies to Null, who can do exactly the same and he is a glitch himself, able to corrupt and cover the whole game in a few seconds and possibly process all the data (since he is the one who is affecting the game), this would make Baldi scale, since he can be as fast as The Player, who runs away from Null and the Glitch, and Baldi himself can, again, summon the Glitch and the enemies can dodge it.

But it's not that easy. Even if you want to believe in this, there is still a counter: consistency and outliers.

Yes, a gap from Relativistic to Quadrillion c is huge, too big to simply ignore. Baldi has two Relativistic feats, which is consistent and superior to all other Superhuman feats, but nothing justifies an MFTL+ scale just like that.

Although, you could argue that this is consistent, since Null can do this many times, and the player later faces the Glitch, which can do the same. Ultimately, this depends on what the Blog members (and readers, of course) choose to believe, anyway, this is not something very influential in the final conclusion.

Baldi Cosmology!?

Yes /srs

Because Baldi could scale the game through Null scaling, or very minimal through haxes by being able to cause glitches and invoke the Glitch.

The School

This part is dedicated to the school, or rather, the whole game itself.

For starters, most notably, there is a sky with clouds, a day and night cycle, and most importantly, a sun. Clearly there is an outer space with the planet earth, so destroying the game is at least a Star Level feat. In the latest update of Baldi's Basics Plus, a wormhole and a space full of stars were added.

But we don't stop there, as the most important statement is that the game is an entire universe. Yes, this is pretty straightforward. The game is a universe, and destroying it would be a universe level feat.

The Real World

After the player defeats Null, they both travel to the “real world”, mystman12's office, which Null can distort.

This office is clearly the real world, there is a note from the developer, it is identical to mystman12's office in real life, and we can even find mystman12 thanking us for playing. R>F???? LCM???? OUTERVERSAL????

Well, no. The problem is more than obvious, and that is that Null is still able to manipulate this real world, which implies that it is still inside the game, since Null could never climb out of the game or destroy it. The implications of this place are quite strange, since it is made to represent the real world, but it is still part of the game, so a higher Tier is not arguable.

Plot Manipulation Baldi??? R>F??? (Again)

Yes, I’m serious. In one of Baldimore's comics, called “Comics Made by Baldi”, we can see Baldi talking about himself, when then a fight starts and we find out that whoever was writing that was... Baldi himself. Which means Baldi can manipulate the plot, exists in the real world and has R>F transcendence, right?

Well, as much as we would like to see Baldi being an outerversal meta narrative entity, this is not true. For starters, these are two different comics, one is about Baldi talking and the other is about two unknown characters fighting, mystman12 stated on Twitter that it’s just a comic drawn by Baldi that he thinks is funny, i.e. Baldi doesn't exist outside the narrative nor did he create the plot, he just drew a comic about a fight, and if all comics were drawn by him, they would have the same kind of humor he likes.

In conclusion, as funny as it was, Baldi does not manipulate the plot nor does he exist beyond fiction, sorry Baldi fans.

The Truth about Null and the Baldi canon

Yes, this section was added at the last minute because we discovered new information when the Blog was almost finished, but that doesn't matter now.

(I FUCKING HATE YOU NULL)

— Morta

At the end of Baldi’s Basics Plus, as many know, there is a glitch that closes the game and gives a screen telling us to read NULL, an official page of Basically, Games! (password:!IMPORTANT.videogamesarelinks) where mystman12 tells us about the status of Null, because it no longer exists in Baldi's Basics Plus.

In this message, mystman12 tells us that he doesn't know where Null came from, he just appeared in the game from one moment to another, and that after his “death”, he doesn't know where he is anymore, and he seems to be present in every copy of Baldi's Basics Classic/Classic Remastered, but in Remastered he disappears after players find the real ending, which restores the game to its original state.

Then, he says that there is a possibility that Null might escape and appear in other creators' projects, such as games or movies, and he might refuse to be removed from these projects, so he decides to make Null a public domain character.

What does all this imply?

Well, first of all, Null somehow ceased to exist, and mystman12 claims that if Null comes back and tries to enter Baldi's Basics Plus, he will remove him before he does anything. This leaves even stranger implications in the lore, and more questions than answers; Why are there still glitches in the game? Not only the one that announces this site and occurs when the player talks to Baldi, but multiple glitches can be found throughout the game, very similar to those caused by Null, and in Baldi's Basics Remastered itself, there are several glitches that occur after Null dies, leaving the possibility that if it is Baldi who causes some of these, or that they are a natural part of the game, but Baldi can take advantage of them and use them to his advantage, and even if Null is gone, this will still happen. Added to that, mystman12 only implies that Null affected copies of Baldi's Basics Classic and Baldi's Basics Classic Remastered, but the flaws are not only in this game, but also in the Kickstarter version, where Baldi will cause the game to crash, or DSCI_0000, a glitch appearing in Birthday Bash.

But the most interesting issue is what this implies to the canon. Well, while Null is now a public domain character since he could leave the game to other projects, this doesn't mean that everything Null does in fan projects is usable in Baldi's Basics, nor does it mean that Null is no longer canon, since Null still exists and could try to return to the game, but mystman12 will prevent it, and Null still exists in all copies of Baldi's Basics Classic and Remastered, so the existence of Null and things done in previous games will continue being an important issue to take into account.

Does Baldi have Null in his team

No, lol

Baldi and Null have never even interacted together, besides, Null hates the game, and has even sealed to incapacitate Baldi so that Baldi won't bother, so Null is not someone who is going to help Baldi under any context

Building Level Granny

There are several arguments in favor of Building Level Granny that make it quite consistent, and we believe it is necessary to dig into these to see if it is valid to use them or not.

Gasoline Explosion

In almost all Granny games, the player has the possibility to access a gallon of gasoline, usually to fill vehicles, but if shot, the gasoline can explode, leaving Granny unconscious but not destroying her body or killing her completely (unlike things like the plasma gun, which leaves literally nothing of Granny, or the Ice Trap, which splits Granny into pieces), and the player can also survive the explosion, this has several ways to be calculated and there are several possible Ends.

The first is using the average amount of a gallon of gasoline, which gives a result of 0.16 Tons of TNT.

The second takes into account that that can of gasoline can fill the tank of Granny's car, a GAZ-M20, which has a fuel tank capacity of 55 liters, giving 0.44 Tons of TNT.

The higher one takes into account that the gasoline is capable of filling Grandpa's entire helicopter, resulting in 7.48 Tons of TNT.

Depending on the End you choose to use, it ranges from Building to Large Building.

Surely you must be asking yourself “Why not just assume that the gasoline is enough to finish filling the car instead of filling an engine completely?”, the answer is simple, in all vehicles we see a graphic where it is completely empty, and when you put more and more gasoline, the meter goes up until it is completely full, which means that the vehicles were not half full and the can only finished filling them enough for the player to flee.

Now, the can being small can be a problem depending on how you look at it, as you can say that filling the vehicles may be an in-game mechanic, or DVloper just didn't feel like designing giant gasoline barrels, but we know that this gasoline is enough to fill the tank of all the vehicles. Ultimately, if you want to believe that we should only use the can for calculation, Granny would be minimum Building Level, and if you accept the higher End, Large Building is somewhat viable.

Slendrina destroys a castle

The second most powerful feat of the verse occurs in Slendrina X, where once Slendrina is defeated by the player, she causes the whole castle to shake and end up being destroyed, which was calculated at 0.47 Tons of TNT. The first thing to know is that regular characters do scale Slendrina, as the player is able to resist her attacks and survive without Slendrina having any reason to hold back or have mercy, and this power is something consistent, as The Child Of Slendrina is able to become giant and shake Slendrina's house the same way Slendrina did, and the player is able to kill The Child. Finally, Angelene and Nosferatu were inside the castle at the time it is destroyed, and we know that they both survived as Angelene can be found in Granny's secret room and Nosferatu can be found in Granny Chapter 3.

Granny’s weapons only incapacitate you for a few minutes?

This is a fairly common mistake that several people make when interpreting weapons in Granny, since if you kill or incapacitate Granny or Grandpa, they will come back in a couple of minutes or seconds (depending on difficulty), which leads to thinking that things like tranquilizer darts only put enemies to sleep for a short period of time, which is wrong.

Ignoring the clear problem of saying that a shotgun or freeze trap kills a victim for a couple of minutes instead of assuming it's because of Granny's immortality, there's a contradiction to this in Granny 2, where, if you kill The Child of Slendrina, it will die for good and not return, unlike its grandparents, that is, the weapons in Granny can kill or incapacitate people permanently or for a long period of time (the effects of a tranquilizer dart can last up to 12 hours), but the Immortality of the grandparents allows them to come back early.

SLENDERMAN SCALING

Yeah no.

Don't get us wrong, Granny does scale to DVloper's Slenderman, but as funny as it would be to say that Granny has immeasurable speed and can kill your favorite verses, the thing here is when we say "DVloper's Slenderman".

In our previous blog we made clear the problem with using composite for Slenderman in general, since the character has copyrights and a fixed creator, he is not a public domain character and every story that uses the character must stay in a different version, even if it is as faithful as possible to the original, in fact, even DVloper said he doesn't use Slenderman anymore because he doesn't have the rights to the character, and finally, this Slenderman is a very different one from the original; he doesn't have his most important powers, he is not an idea that exists by human thought, he is a human in the beginning normal but turned into a monster by the family curse, and even then he only attacks intruders in the forest and not any innocent person.

In conclusion, DVloper's Slenderman is a rather unique and different version of the regular Slenderman, and DVloper stopped using Slenderman when he didn't have the rights to the character in the first place, so Granny only scales to things demonstrated in DVloper games.

Verdict

Team Baldi

Stats

No matter how surprising it may be, Granny is incredibly strong; she is capable of knocking out the player with a single hit, pushing them, and eating them, considering that the player withstands things like Slendrina's attacks, being hit by an axe, gasoline explosions, and falls from several floors. Granny can also break a wooden door and killed Nosferatu along with Grandpa, given that Nosferatu survived the collapse of a castle (0.47 Tons). Granny can survive gasoline explosions (up to 7 Tons), and through equipment, Granny can explode a car using dynamite, use her car to cross a wall, and vaporize bodies completely. Physically, Granny scales to her family, which includes Angelene running so fast that the player cannot see her (Mach 49.717), Slendrina destroying doors, creating rooms, and destroying an entire castle, and Slendrina is also able to enter and leave instantly from a blink ability. Even The Child Of Slendrina can destroy a house.

But... lmao, this is nothing compared to Baldi, who can make his head gigantic and send it into outer space (3.087 Teratons), or even eat the damned planet (608 Exatons for GBE, 47 Ninatons for KE), including being able to destroy the entire game after finishing off the player. Talking about the player, Baldi is capable of defeating them with a single hit, given that the player can break walls (112 Kilojoules) and move animals at high speeds (650 Kilojoules and Mach 0.147), and Baldi himself can grow enough to surround the planet and eat it (9.62% c and 35% c or 67.3% c and 2.45 c with superspeed). A recent argument is that, in the latest update of Baldi's Basics Plus (0.10) a room was added that has a wormhole, this is important because Baldi is canonically the one who updates the game and adds new things, and the wormhole has the same design as the poster portal, an invention of Baldi, so it makes sense to assume that Baldi created it, as for the level of it, inside the wormhole there are stars, you could say the stars are on the other side and nothing else, but as soon as you cross the wormhole, you get to another section of the school, so it's unlikely that the wormhole leads to space. This is 1872.996 FOE, or Solar System.

Now, an important point:

Null. (I HATE YOU SO MUCH), who can be physically damaged by the player, this implies that Baldi scales to things like Null moving the school (3.19 Tons), breaking windows, moving vending machines, and is capable of making the game and the computer literally... explode, leaving Baldi at a universal level. As for speed, Null and the Glitch are capable of covering the entire universe with their glitches, which requires a speed of 163 Quadrillion c (1.1 Quintillion via superspeed), the problem with this is how you take the consistency of the feats; Baldi already has two relativistic speed feats, and no support for a speed as high as Quad c, so it depends on whether you want to use it. Anyway, Baldi is massively faster even without this, and keep in mind, these should all apply to his movement speed as well, the giant feats aren't really a standard transformation like a Super Saiyan so there's no reason to believe it'd give him an insane speed boost and more damningly, the player can directly outrun the glitches on foot, making this consistent with the lower feats.

In conclusion, no matter how strong and fast Granny is, Baldi surpasses her in all statistics massively, even without universal and MFTL+ ends, the statistical advantage in favor of Baldi is enormous, and this point is not up for discussion.

Arsenal

The abilities and weapons of both of our hearing sensitive elders is where this duel became a lot more interesting, getting through the obvious first, Granny is much better geared for a standard confrontation.

Clubs, blades, firearms and more the old lady just knows how to throw down, and could match a few things the teacher could throw at her like flight and explosives, bear traps etc. What's more impressive however is that her crazier arsenal granted her a few ways that she could use to end the fight despite being far weaker!

First of all, things like the darts and the Freeze Trap could prove troublesome as they could quickly put the teacher to sleep or simply freeze him in place to put him out of commission by incapacitation, the latter is more noteworthy because freezing Baldi has explicitly been shown to trap him before in the comics as it is implied he needed help to get out of the predicament.

She had a few more dangerous weapons however as the Stun Gun could likely hold her foe in place long enough to land her other wincons, like the Ray Gun which could outright disintegrate Baldi on the spot and negate his durability! …At least in theory, Baldi has explicitly been able to stand just fine amidst the deconstructive properties of glitches which could possibly grant him a nifty resistance.

Her most dangerous option by FAR was the book however, with this she could simply seal many of the threats on Baldi's side given the chance as they could even trap teleporting foes before.

“If given the chance” was the key word however, Baldi could outright avoid many of these just via his insane speed edge alone, not to mention he could fly and teleport around making things like a trap you need to set it up on the ground beforehand virtually useless and the teacher could make it even worse for her by adding things like the timestop into the equation making locating him much harder. This isn't even to mention possible issues like the darts possibly not working at all because of the durability gap or one of Baldi's allies to shatter him out of the ice.

On the other hand, while not geared to combat, Baldi just has far superior abilities overall, things like flooding the environment, shifting gravity, teleporting everyone and creating strong winds pretty handily gave him great battlefield control over the mostly grounded opponents.

Even disregarding their standard support the teacher could quickly get numbers on his side with duplication which was very dangerous as they inherited his great stat edge and abilities, he could also just pick the enemies apart from a distance with telekinesis, trap some in an exitless room, become giant for massive AoE or eventually even erase their bodies! How is this not an immediate sweep?!

It all came around to one thing, the Curse. With this some members of the family had an insane level of regeneration as not even decapitation or full body destruction could put them down as they'd simply pop back up just fine after a few moments, and as evidenced by characters like Slendrina, nothing short of messing with their souls would've been capable of put the killer down for good.

And this naturally raised the question that our entire research orbited around: “Could Baldi even do anything to reliably seal the deal?” Sure he would be hard to put down with his stats and abilities but that wouldn't matter in the face of somebody who could come back from everything and have all the time in the world to eventually land their one hit needed to win with the book via her soul based regener- wait a goddamn minute.

Jokes aside, this was an interesting match to break down but with everything on the table we believe that Baldi actually had quite a few options to put the cursed in detention, even if you as the reader possibly does not agree with all of these, keep in mind that only one of them need to be true for the teacher to win, I'll list them down in the order that i believe are the most likely to happen first if a fight did go down.

  1. I JUST NEED TO HIT HER, REALLY HARD!

While it is true that no one in the Basics cast has ever actually punched a ghost in the face, there is actually some evidence to suggest they may have some form of nonphysical interaction at their best.

To get the simpler of the two arguments out of the way, the Player is able to both see and hurt Null in his boss fight who is made entirely of corrupted data which isn't exactly a physical object, furthermore he's quite literally see through and mostly invisible which imply a different physiology.

The more compelling argument however is something also related to this villain we seem to be always coming back to, if you read the blog so far instead of skipping to the verdicts you may remember the Pad’s access to the debug menu, where with the NoClip ability the user can become completely invisible and intangible, despite this, null is still capable of tracking the player and directly jumping them and messing with their equipment with glitches, which indicates that being like the school staff who share control over the game and glitches should be capable of a similar feat, it doesn't particularly help that the ghost in Granny don't seem to be actually invisible as they can be seen just fine by multiple regular humans across all of their games. (Which may possibly even turn the debate around on Granny and her support on whether they could find and touch Baldi if NoClip was used)

  1. Why don't we take this, and push it somewhere else?

This one is quite a simple argument overall, Baldi has repeatedly been able to teleport everyone in the school at once to different locations over a dozen times in a row in quick succession, and generally speaking his range is massive considering he can take people from schools to forests, how fast his travel speed in general, and that his hax have shown to cover the entire game in the past.

So if he truly did have no other way of taking the family down, there was nothing that could really stop him from just… BFRing them by just taking them somewhere really far and just dump them there like how he's teleported the player into a room with no way out before, sure Granny and a few other can teleport but they've only done so for a couple of meters at best and there's no way to guarantee that she could find her way back, maybe would've been a good time to pay attention to the camping lessons.

  1. My Little Pony reference?

Speaking of trapping, this egghead had another method of doing just that! The Goodie Jar was just about a perfect answer as it gets, Baldi has been willing to seal people in there before and keeping them there in past, meanwhile they'll be stuck in some maze world with no real way out, this is particularly noteworthy since sealing has actually been the one consistent way to put Slendrina down before meaning that this would very likely have a similar effect on Granny as none of them have really been shown to be able to teleport between dimensions before, trapping them might not be particularly hard either as he's made even regular objects like Gotta Sweep as big as a skyscraper before meaning he could like get many of them at once.

But even if we do give the killers the benefit of the doubt and assume the Jar wouldn't work on some technicality, we do know there's something on the field that indubitably would: The Book itself! While originally Granny's biggest wincon, the fact that it relies on an item spelt trouble because as you'll see later in the support section, the teacher has plenty of help specialized in stealing or disabling items and there's nothing stopping the green guy himself from doing something similar with telekinesis, with how many clones and allies would be on the field Baldi had no shortage of options to learn that the book was dangerous and try to turn it around on her.

  1. Nuh uh, it's mine now!!!

Another simpler argument, Baldi has shown in the past to make duplicates of himself but more importantly to this situation, he's been able to create multiple copies of both the Principal and the Baldloons, if there's truly no other way to win, Baldi can at least force a stalemate by making his own Grannies! Copies keep their counterpart’s abilities so the old lady might just end up fighting other versions of herself over and over…

  1. LEGALIZE NUCLEAR BOMBS!!

If all else fails, Baldi still has one last option left that I've intentionally failed to avoid thus far, the glitches! His control of the game by the end of the story rivals Null’s and he has repeatedly been able to perform similar feats including deleting data and crashing the game/universe itself, simply put Granny has never survived something like having her information destroyed or having the universe just stop working, even if she did survive the initial blast, she has no real way to continue the fight in her current state. This might not even be as much of a last resource as you may think since some of the tape dialogue and the sound cues upon being caught do seem to imply the “If he catches you it's all over statement” to have more validity.

In the end while Granny has some insane survivability, she was still taught a lesson in variety!

Support

Now it's time to touch on the people that stand behind our two antagonists, much like the previous category it would be easy to assume the family would have the edge as they generally carry out more standart offensive options, like grandpa having thinks like guns, explosives and vehicles on hand, and other people even had some fancier options like poison and tasers but ultimately they were heavily outclassed by the school.

First of all there's just the obvious issue of every single member on Baldi's team scaling to him which meant that even someone like Playtime would be able to tank a majority of what the opponents could do, the poison spiders weren't particularly useful either since their bites would require to actually do damage first which just isn't happening.

But even disregarding general stats, the schoolhouse just had way more people available at all times, especially when you consider Baldi could mass produce copies of himself, his support or even some of Granny's. This is made worse by the fact that they had both quality and quantity with them, most of granny's team can generally only try to just hit hard without that much variety for example there's very little they could to match things like:

  1. Playtime and Beans trapping foes temporarily;

  2. Test and Pomp stopping time and just acting freely;

  3. Arts & Crafts and The Principal being able to freely teleport foes far away or taking allies away from BFR etc…

One advantage worth mentioning again in more detail is how well they can also deals with the capacity of Granny's side, for example It's A Bully is specialized in taking away enemy items which is a big issue when plenty of their best options relied on those, including the book which could promptly be used against all of them, Baldi's copies could also make more copies of their items since the teacher been able to recreate weapons like the ruler before.

And worst of all, Dr. Reflex was also a menace as hitting people with his mallet temporarily disabled all of their items but more important are their abilities, which might not sound as big of a deal at first until you realize that this means the doctor could just as easily get rid of the ability keeping them alive in the first place, leaving them wide open for a bit to just be killed off as soon as their physical bodies were hit.

Do notice however that I've said most of Granny's support was simple, as there is a bit of an asterix to that claim, it's about time that we addressed the elephant in the room, let's talk about Slendrina.

This little ghost gal was pretty much the biggest resource Granny had available with her plethora of abilities and useful physiology, however despite being so powerful when you stop to analyze what she can actually do, you may realize that she's not as big of an issue as it might seem, for the sake of fairness let's just ignore the teacher’s aforementioned arguments on how he could deal with ghosts for now and analyze how the supports stack up.

  1. “Slendrina could teleport foes into a room with no exits to trap them!”

She could try that for sure, but plenty of the school has methods of teleportation to get themselves or others out or use the posters to create an exit.

  1. “She could disrupt their technology!”

There's not really much to disrupt in the first place, none of the students actually rely on tech as much as their abilities or magic items which is not really something she has shown to affect, and the one item that IS technology based, the Think Pad, could still operate just fine even with Null's interference on it meaning she likely couldn't shut it down.

  1. “she could turn giant!”

Yeah, but not as good as how Sweep can grow to be as big as a skyscraper, making her vastly outmatched in AoE…

  1. “Slendrina can create illusions!”

There isn't really a direct counter to this one as much as it doesn't really help her seal the deal, there's also the issue of…

  1. “Slendrina could kill all of them with mind hax!”

This one may seem fine on the surface if it weren't for the fact that the ghost needs extended eye contact for this to work, which is something that would be borderline impossible to pull off with the insane speed edge on the opposing team, it also didn't help that the school already has experience dealing with this exact type of enemy with The Test, which ALSO operates with dealing mental effects if you look at them, this combined with the fact that some of the facility either doesn't have eyes (Gotta Sweep) or is a robot with no standard mind (1st Prize) meant that she had no reliable way to actually pull her hax off on everyone and at best could cause a stalemate.

Meanwhile, even ignoring any possible NPI, Baldi's support still had ways of ending her by either stealing the book or more importantly their own secret weapon, the Baldloons! These entities just basically share all of Null’s abilities meaning they could cause serious damage because as said before in the abilities section, Slendrina had no answer to having her data manipulated or just deleting the game, meaning that even if mind hax were an instant win, she'd be too slow to actually pull it off before dying…

As funny as it would be to have grandpa solo the verse with a realistic gun model, they just lacked any real ways to finish the fight against better numbers and support!

Tertiary Factors

Lastly, a minor factor, but still important in the debate. Let’s start by being clear: each one has a clear advantage. Baldi is smarter, while Granny is more experienced and better at both killing and combat. Why?

General intelligence is straightforward: Baldi is a damn genius. Not only is he a great teacher, but he’s also an incredible inventor, capable of creating things like a shrinking machine, a machine capable of generating fog, and even a freaking poster that can create portals! Granny is not dumb at all, but her general intelligence is rather weak and doesn’t have many demonstrations in that area. We could say she created various traps and obstacles to prevent the player from escaping, has advanced knowledge of weapons, and was able to assemble a guillotine (as we can see the blueprints in the yard), but nothing that comes close to inventing devices capable of creating portals.

Here’s where things change: experience and skill. Granny is clearly more experienced at killing. I mean, she’s an expert murderer who has successfully kidnapped and killed several victims without ever being caught by the police. She has extensive knowledge of lethal weapons and torture methods. And to top it off, her allies include Grandpa, a war veteran with vast knowledge of military weapons and piloting an army helicopter, as well as Bob & Buck, two incredibly skilled thieves who even managed to steal items like the Mona Lisa or the world’s most valuable diamond. On Baldi’s side, there isn’t much to say. Baldi is a (violent) school teacher, and his allies are mostly children with no experience in fighting or killing directly.

With this, it’s clear that Team Granny is not only better at fighting and killing but also more skilled overall, whereas Baldi is far more intelligent in general.

Conclusion

At first you may be inclined to believe there was nothing that could put Granny down, but against Baldi’s might and abilities, she was cursed to get a failing grade!

Team Granny

Stats

No matter how impressive Granny's feats are, there isn't much to defend in this aspect. Granny has impressive things that, without going further, include Slendrina destroying a castle (0.47 Tons), and the gasoline explosion (0.16 Tons, 0.44 Tons, and up to 7.48 Tons), while Baldi, getting to the point, is capable of defeating the player with one hit, they can even harm Null by throwing objects at him, and Null is able to move the entire school, move vending machines, and destroy the entire damned game just like the Red Baldloon, hell, even Baldi himself is capable of making the game explode and it is said that if Baldi touches you, it will be the end of everything, which has a low probability of crashing the entire game, and the game contains the planet, the moon, the sun, and is called a universe, and even without this, Baldi can grow enough to eat the planet. Strength is not a topic of debate here, however, this does not matter much, since you cannot kill Granny with just strength.

Speed is another story where Granny might have more of an advantage. While Baldi is obviously able to react by launching his head into space, this is only reaction and combat speed, and his movement speed is Mach 0.147 thanks to the player, while thanks to Angelene, Granny scales to Mach 49.717 (Small parenthesis here, in case you have doubts, yes, Angelene has demonstrated teleportation, but this was not the case. She was locked up by Nosferatu and couldn't free herself until the player opened the cage door, if she had used teleportation, she would have been able to escape without opening the door, and If the player does not open the cage door, Angelene will disappear anyway, but she herself will open the door to leave, so this was 100% not TP). There is a similar case in Granny, where Granny chains Angelene and locks her behind a wall, and Angelene can only free herself after the player frees her with the book, which means she didn't use teleportation to escape), this means that Granny is 338.2108843537x times faster in movement speed, which is an incredible advantage in being able to escape from Baldi, and do things like making Baldi step on the ice trap. If Baldi decides to send his head flying and make it giant, Baldi would gain the advantage in movement, but we doubt that would be the case, since he only did it in a moment of emotion, and during combat, he usually chases the player on foot. Of course, Baldi is much faster in reaction and combat speed, to the point of seeing Granny frozen even if you only use Rela End, but movement speed is a notable advantage.

Arsenal

Since both have an interesting amount of arsenal and skills, we decided to make a table explaining only those that could be useful in a direct combat.

Baldi’s Equipment / Abilities

Counter

Baldi could create clones

This might look good at first glance, but the problem is that we don’t know if Baldi can actually create clones of the enemies that will obey him. We saw that he can create more Principals who follow the same functions as the original, but absolutely nothing indicates that copies of the enemies will obey him. Baldi does not possess any kind of mind control.

Eating the planet

Yeah, let’s be honest, Baldi is not going to eat the entire planet just to finish off an old lady LOL.

Goodie Jar

The Goodie Jar is quite strange, since we don’t clearly know its implications, but we do know it is a very large place where Baldi can lock others up. The problem is that we don’t know if this is really another dimension or just a case of dimensional storage, so Granny’s teleportation and her family’s should be enough to

Regeneration

Baldi and his friends’ regeneration might be good, but it’s nothing compared to Granny’s. As for whether Granny can negate it, yes. The best case of regeneration Baldi has is coming back after being crushed, but nothing indicates he would survive mental destruction like the one Slendrina can cause, and regeneration won’t save him if he is frozen and shattered into pieces afterwards.

Technology

What about all the technology Baldi has at his disposal? Like the Fog Machine or Dangerous? Well, the answer is simple: Slendrina. Naturally, Slendrina and Slenderman can affect electronic devices, turning them off or making them stop working, so being nearby would shut down Baldi’s technology.

On the other hand, Granny's lethal arsenal has great utility:

Granny’s Arsenal

How does it work

Pepper Spray

The effects of pepper spray typically last between 20 and 90 minutes, but eye irritation and redness can persist for up to 24 hours, so this is a great option to take advantage of by blinding and irritating Baldi.

Freeze Trap

This is a case where not only did Baldi not show resistance, but he was directly affected. In a Baldimore comic, Baldi’s freezing machine trapped him inside an ice cube, and he needed help to get free, which means stepping on this trap is a sure death. He would be incapacitated until someone pushes him and he dies shattered into pieces. And since Baldi usually moves in a straight line, placing this trap in his path would be a more than certain victory.

Stun Gun

One shot from this weapon and Baldi and his allies will be electrocuted, leaving them paralyzed and knocked out for a long time — enough time for Granny to take the necessary advantage.

Book

This is definitely Granny’s ultimate win condition. Sealing Baldi inside the book would leave him permanently trapped inside, and if you were thinking of saying Baldi could teleport, this is useless since this book can seal Slendrina who already has teleportation. Using this book is a practically guaranteed victory method.

In summary, Granny’s arsenal is definitely better in terms of equipment, having much more lethal weapons made for combat and assassination. While Baldi has some items that could be a problem, like BSODA or ‘Nana Peel, nothing is specifically deadly. The only way Baldi can kill Granny is by destroying the game or deleting her data through the Red Baldloon, which we will talk about later. Speaking of which...

IT’S SHOWTIME

Support

We'll be blunt, 90% of Granny's support aren't of a great use in this scenario, as they all rely primarily on kill stats, but of course, there are two exceptions....

Slendrina and Slenderman are the best Granny has at her disposal, as they have methods of negating durability, things we'll detail here.

The main ability of Slendrina and Slenderman is to play with the minds of their victims, the mere fact of seeing them can bring devastating effects, such as seeing illusions that will prevent you from seeing clearly for a while, bleeding just by seeing them and even dying, not only this, but Slendrina is able to move people's heads to force them to see her, and if you do not look away fast enough, what awaits you is not something very nice. While Baldi is able to avoid this thanks to his speed advantage, there are characters who are not as lucky, such as Bully, who doesn't move from the place until he gets an item, so he will see Slendrina until he dies on the spot, and there are characters who can see from both the front and the back (for example, Playtime and Principal of the Thing), which means they couldn't avoid seeing Slendrina at all.

Technological Manipulation is also incredibly useful, not only because it can shut down Baldi's technology, but also several of his allies, such as 1st Prize or The Test, being robots, they would be destroyed just by having Slendrina and Slenderman nearby. Another useful ability of Slendrina is the teleportation, since she not only teleports herself, but she can do it with others, as she does against Player in the end of Slendrina X, this could be a great advantage to avoid the BFR of Baldi and other characters that lock the player in rooms, such as Mrs. Pomp or Principal of the Thing.

Now, let's respond to everything that Baldi has on his side, since his team is very varied, but not entirely useful:

Dr. Reflex

Dr. Reflex is the biggest problem here, since he is considerably faster than the entire Granny family, which would make it so that no one could pass his reflex test, and his power to nullify abilities is incredibly dangerous even if it lasts only a few seconds. However, the detail here is that the doctor is a double-edged sword, since he will also hit his allies. Granny and her family would soon discover this and could call the Doctor, teleport near Baldi, and leave him defenseless, having the opportunity to attack.

1st Prize

This case is particularly funny. 1st Prize and his enormous strength could destroy almost all the family members with one push, except those who have immortality or are ghosts (Granny, Grandpa, Bob, Buck, Angelene, Slendrina, Slenderman... practically almost everyone lol). But in case he tries to do something, Chain Cutter is literally a perfect counter here, since they can cut his cables, which would make 1st stop working. Also, Slendrina and Slenderman can cause technology to fail, so they could easily get rid of him.

This is a Bully

Bully might seem like a massive danger here, mainly because Granny’s arsenal is incredibly useful in the fight, and if Bully steals something like the book, Granny could be in danger. However, this is unlikely to happen, because Bully stays still in the same place waiting for the player to give him some item, and Granny is not really stupid enough to give her objects to someone who will just stay still. Knowing that Granny, Slendrina, Slenderman, Angelene, and other family members have teleportation, they can choose to teleport to the other side without touching Bully, or they can even take more drastic options, since he does not move. Seeing Slendrina and Slenderman would kill him instantly or at least leave him unconscious or seeing illusions, and the other family members have methods to get rid of him, such as sealing him in the book, using pepper spray to blind him and cross without him being able to take any item, or freezing him in place and then a simple push would shatter him into pieces.

Beans

Beans’ power is somewhat useful here, by slowing Granny and her family for several seconds, but... yes, there is a but, which is that it can affect his own allies, something that could help close the speed gap, and Chain Cutter could be effective to cut the gum, since the safety scissors serve to free oneself from it.

Gotta Sweep

Gotta Sweep is the hardest to deny, since he is really very useful. The force with which he pushes everyone could kill mortal characters and attract Baldi towards Granny, besides his Kaiju form. The first can be countered thanks to the freeze trap or bear traps; leaving them on a spot on the floor could be even deadly for Gotta Sweep, since he would be frozen or incapacitated as soon as he steps on them. And as for his giant form, there is nothing that the book sealing can’t fix smh…

The Test

The Test is a curious case, but not really a big problem. The Test is capable of playing with the school’s lights, and if he wants, he can cause the player to see total darkness, which is not a problem since all the characters can see perfectly normally in dark and nightmare mode. And as usual, Slendrina and Slenderman can cause technology to fail, and this would affect The Test since he is a robot.

Principal of the Thing, Mrs. Pomp and Chalkles

We decided to put these three together because the answer is practically the same. Since almost all the family members possess teleportation, being locked in a room is not a problem at all, and even without this in mind, the characters have access to dynamite capable of blowing up doors and walls, so they could escape the classrooms if locked in.

The Glitch

The Glitch, who has most of Null’s powers, might seem like an imminent danger if it weren’t for a couple of problems...

  1. It is a double-edged weapon

One of the most notable things about the Glitch is that if the Player uses Debug Mode to cheat during Glitch or Null Style, Null or the Glitch will nullify this ability, leaving the player powerless for cheating. This means that if Baldi uses Debug Mode (one of his most powerful things), the Glitch himself, despite being an ally, would nullify his powers, leaving him not only without this mode but also completely defenseless and powerless.

  1. The game deletion is a problem for everyone

The clearest problem is that Baldi does not fully control these events. In fact, they even seem to harm him, since when the Red Baldloon erase the school, we can see Baldi hiding and crying while all this happens, so Baldi might think twice before causing this.

Tertiary Factors

It is not expected that in a fight like this, tertiary factors would be influential. Let's start with the basics (haha!): Baldi is clearly very intelligent, a genius inventor who created advanced machines and even a damned portal. Granny doesn't have many demonstrations of general intelligence, but knowing how to add won't help in this fight, so let's see what's important. Granny is better in a fight and also in direct assassination; she handles lethal weapons and knows methods of torture and execution, and she has even assembled her own weapons herself (like the guillotine). In her team, she has her husband, Grandpa, a retired war veteran with great knowledge in both combat and weapons, as he possesses grenades, shotguns, and even a military helicopter. Meanwhile, Baldi's support is mostly children who don't have great knowledge in fighting or assassination, and then there are Bob and Buck, thieves who assaulted museums and stole relics like the Mona Lisa, so this aspect is clear.

The reason we say these factors matter is because, despite the disadvantage in statistics, Granny's team usually uses their best things more quickly. For example, Slendrina and Slenderman will use their abilities at the first moment they appear in front of the player, or even Granny attacks the player at the first moment she sees them, just like all the other characters. Meanwhile, Baldi's team usually only attacks at specific moments, like Principal of the Thing taking you to direction for breaking the school's specific rules, or Bully taking your items only if you cross near him, which wouldn't be much of a problem since he doesn't move from his place, and Granny's team could freeze him, seal him in a book, or kill him with Slendrina's abilities—there are many options to avoid Bully without giving him an item. The same would happen with the others; for example, Granny could seal Playtime instead of wasting time playing rope, or kill Principal instead of waiting in detention. Baldi's characters don't usually kill; they use specific obstacles, which can be ignored by Granny's family's thirst for blood, which wouldn't play games.

As for the use of weapons during combat, we've seen that Granny usually uses them when killing her victims, like in the end of The Twins, where she kills the player using a plasma gun. If there's a chase, Granny could not only set a bear trap in the path to catch Baldi but also use the ice trap, which Baldi would probably step on without knowing what it does, and that would leave him frozen, which is important because Baldi can't withstand being frozen (in fact, he is affected by ice). Baldi has very good options, but let's be honest, he's not going to eat the planet in-character; the most likely thing is that he will attack just like he usually attacks the player, while Granny can use her many in-character options, like using the ice trap, putting everyone to sleep with darts, using poison, or sealing them in a book, especially if we take into account the Berserk Mode: Granny and Grandpa become incredibly more aggressive the moment someone kills one of their pets or The Child of Slendrina, which will make them seek to kill Baldi faster.

Now, something important: senses. Both have very good enhanced senses; however, we consider Granny's to be relatively better. Not only can she hear almost anything, while Baldi has a more limited one, but Baldi's can be negated by loud noises happening elsewhere, like clocks, while Granny can hear insignificant things like a rat biting or a floor creaking. The fact that Baldi constantly announces his presence by making his ruler sound also doesn't help, as this would only make Granny always know Baldi's location, and Baldi would have difficulties seeing or hearing Granny. Let's talk about vision, since Granny also takes this aspect. Not only can she see perfectly in darkness mode and extreme difficulty, where everything is completely dark, which is useful because it will help her ignore the darkness of The Test and the fog machine. As for Baldi, his vision is more limited, as the fog machine not only limits the player's vision but also Baldi's, and the player being affected by The Test's darkness doesn't help either.

Conclusion

SpawnRider case here??? The truth is that although Baldi took the statistics without any discussion, Granny still had the clear advantage in movement speed, but that doesn’t matter so much. The immortality of Granny and her family makes it impossible to kill them with just AP, since even if nothing is left of them, they will come back after a few seconds, so this becomes useless (the only ones who couldn’t revive are The Child Of Slendrina, the pets, and the robot, which are practically the most useless here), which makes it difficult for Baldi to kill her. But there is still one thing they could try: Glitching. If Baldi manages to destroy the game, Granny would have no way to revive, and it would be a definitive win; however, the chances of this event happening are almost zero, and it would require killing her a bunch of times to win, and in that time, Granny could take advantage of her immortality to learn more about Baldi’s arsenal and even use it against him, and use things like the Freeze Trap (which can affect Baldi and even kill him) or the book, to seal him definitively.

Baldi put up an incredible fight and proved to be very good at playing hide and seek, however, he did not manage to escape in the 5 viable days, and his fate may be worse than death.

The Winner Is Granny

Ghost rider wins btw

Baldi

“Thanks for playing, come back soon!”

Advantages

  • Much stronger and more durable, regardless of the End you choose to use

  • Way faster in reaction and combat, and even in displacement if he takes his head out of his body

  • The glitch and destroying/locking the game are the perfect ways to kill Granny, as she has never shown revival from anything of this level

  • Eating the planet could incapacitate Granny, causing her to constantly revive in his stomach

  • The Glitch is a better ally than anything Granny has, being able to close the game, control the scenery at will, manipulate data and other abilities it shares with Null

  • His enhanced senses are even better than Granny's, as he can hear even doors opening, he can keep track of Granny at all times

  • Spatial Manipulation allows him to have control over the stage and better terrain during combat, as well as to prevent Granny and her allies from escaping

  • Basics in Behavior

  • Mystman12 is a cool guy

  • Next Indie Cross character

Ties

  • Both are in fact some of the best horror games of their kind today

  • YouTube brainrot.

Disadvantages

  • Much less combat-skilled and experienced support

  • Little experience in fighting or killing in general, and much less active time

  • His arsenal is less suitable for a straight fight

  • Slendrina and Slenderman have haxes capable of killing him, and even getting rid of a large part of his arsenal and allies

  • Granny has several methods of avoiding his support, such as This is a Bully, Principal, Mrs. Pomp, Chalkles or all his robots

  • More exploitable weaknesses, such as not being able to kill without a ruler

  • Null.

Granny

“All I wanted to do is play with you”

Advantages

  • More travel speed as long as Baldi does not use his head at maximum speed

  • Much more useful equipment for fighting and killing in general

  • Much more experienced and lethal, so she would be the first to seek to assassinate

  • Many ways to permanently incapacitate Baldi, such as the book, tranquilizer darts, poison or freeze trap

  • If she goes into rage mode, Fear Manipulation is something Baldi has not dealt with

  • Incredibly difficult to kill thanks to the curse, regeneration and the ability to return as a ghost if necessary

  • Being ghosts, most of Granny's Support do not have to worry about the stats difference and cannot be touched by Baldi's allies

  • Slendrina is an incredibly useful aid, being able to kill Baldi's support just by being seen, lock them in a room with no exits, distract them with illusions, and shut down Baldi's technology

  • Granny's House

  • DVloper is a cool dude

Ties

  • Both are in fact some of the best horror games of their kind today

  • YouTube brainrot.

Disadvantages

  • Much weaker no matter what you choose to use, being overshadowed even by Baldi's Low-End

  • Much slower in terms of reaction and combat, and Baldi’s head is so fast that Granny couldn't hurt him

  • Her support is generally not that useful, as most rely on AP to fight, which they don't have

  • Arsenal much less crazy and varied in general

  • No defence to 4th wall stuff, like glitch, data wipe or destroy the game

  • What the hell will she do when Baldi eats the planet wtf

  • Much less AoE against Glitch, Baldi's haxes and Gotta Sweep Kaiju

  • Her best options depend on equipment, which Baldi can steal.

  • Lost the Rap
